This is a review of the Studio One Thamrin Hotel in Jakarta.

It is a 3-minute walk from BNI City Station, accessible by train from Jakarta Airport.

Rooms of Studio One Thamrin Hotel 

We had a double room.

Beds are large enough and clean. Hard mattress. Pillows were a bit too soft.

There is only one electrical plug by the bed.

Rooms have a desk, mirror, telephone, chair, cups, decanter (there is a water server in the corridor), wardrobe, shelves with drawers and air conditioning.

There was a TV too.

Cups and a decanter are in the room, but no electric kettle. Hot water is provided by a water server in the corridor.

Coffee and tea are not in the rooms, but are available on the ground floor next to the reception desk.

The AC worked well.

There is a washbasin in the room, but no soap or hand soap.

Bathroom in Studio One Thamrin Hotel 

Bathrooms were clean.
There is no partition between the toilet and the shower.
The showers have hot water, and the water pressure was just enough.

Bath towels, foot mats, toilet paper and shampoo are provided. Soap was not available.

Wifi in Studio One Thamrin Hotel 

Free wifi was provided in the building, but the connection was sometimes unstable in the room.

Services and Others

Coffee and tea sets are yhnext to the front desk on the ground floor. Hot and cold water is available from the water server.

Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. English is also spoken.

We chose this hotel because we actually wanted to have our luggage (suitcases) kept while travelling within Indonesia.

We stayed here, on the condition that we would be allowed to leave my suitcase there for about five weeks from 10 December to 16 January.

As we asked, they managed it properly and we were able to receive it on our return visit to Jakarta!

Delvin Homestay is on Kri island, Raja Ampat, Indonesia. We stayed in this homestay twice in 2023 for more than 7 days each time. It is a simple accommodation, but we think it is the most affordable on Kri Island and Dani the owner is an honest person charging fair prices for everything. There are two types of bungalows, ones built on the beach and the others over the water. There is a house reef where you can swim offshore and snorkel with entry from the beach. Sunrise Cafe & Bungalows, Amed in Bali, Indonesia

We stayed at this guesthouse for 10 days during a stay in Amed Beach, Bali. Location of Sunrise Cafe & Bungalows  It is located near Jemeluk Bay on Amed Beach, one of the quieter beaches in Bali. It is about a 2.5-hour drive from Denpasar. A Grab taxi from outside the airport cost Rp 660 000. There is a café/restaurant on the ground floor and the rooms are upstairs. The room balconies overlook Amed Beach and Jemeluk Bay. The area was originally a small fishing village, and fishermen can be observed every day as they go out to fish and return. Rooms of Sunrise Cafe & Bungalows  We stayed in a double room, which cost Rp 250,000 per night without breakfast and Rp 275,000 with breakfast for two.
