Oriestom Bay Hotel in Manokwari, Indonesia

We decided to stay overnight in Manokwari to get the plane to Jayapura the next morning. 

Oriestom Bay Hotel is located near the airport (2km), and we stayed here because it's possible to walk from the airport. 

Room at Oriestom Bay Hotel

From Rs 480,000 per night in a standard room twin. Breakfast included. 

The room was a little small and without windows, but the air conditioner worked well. TV, drinking water, slippers, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bath towels, toilet paper and tissues were provided.  There was no refrigerator, electric kettle and glasses. 

Overall the rooms and the hotel were clean. The beds had slightly firm mattresses.


Bathroom at Oriestom Bay Hotel 

There was a bathroom en suite, but no partitions between the bathroom shower, washbasin and toilet. 

The shower had hot water. The water pressure was also good.

Bath towels were provided while there was no foot mat.


WiFi at Oriestom Bay Hotel 

The Orieston Bay Hotel has free internet WiFi, but the connection in the room was not always stable.


Breakfast at Oriestom Bay Hotel 

Breakfast is included and is served from 7am. We had an early morning flight. 

When we told them we had to check out just after 6am they said that they would prepare a take-out breakfast at 6am. The staff brought it to our room at 6 o'clock the next morning. 

We ate it at the airport and it was delicious.


Service at Oriestom Bay Hotel 

One of the staff at the reception spoke a little English and check-in was smooth. Other staff were friendly and smiley too. 

There was a restaurant attached. Although we didn't eat there, it seems to have a very good reputation and a lovely seaside view. 

There are many shops such as local restaurants, cafes and supermarkets within walking distance. 

The location, which is about 25 minutes on foot to the airport, is very convenient. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when using the airport in Manokwari.

Delvin Homestay Review, Raja Ampat, Indonesia

Delvin Homestay is on Kri island, Raja Ampat, Indonesia. We stayed in this homestay twice in 2023 for more than 7 days each time. It is a simple accommodation, but we think it is the most affordable on Kri Island and Dani the owner is an honest person charging fair prices for everything. The hotel was used as accommodation for connecting flights at Jakarta Airport. Rp 541 000 per night for a twin room with breakfast. Booked through Booking.com. Room at Orchards Hotel Bandara We stayed in room 811, a twin room. The room is large enough and clean. The bed was a little small, but a normal single size, we think. There is a desk, TV, chair and tea set. The electric kettle was in poor condition, perhaps broken, but it worked for a time. Two bottles of drinking water. Black tea and coffee, cream and sugar.
